I forgot some stuff

That’s what happens when you don’t have time to blog and then you’re presented of recalling those hazy events from a while back! But here are the basics:

Luxembourg, you guys are fucking mental. That night was clearly the best night of the tour for us. Not to say that the other nights were anything less than sub-par, but tonight you went off the hook. 2 floors of people, in a big venue that feels like a club, and the most people dancing all the way to the back made sure this night would always be remembered.

Tilburg as well, memorable if just for the usual British tourist in Holland thing of going to a coffee shop and indulging. Not so usual doing it with an all American rockstar though, Jesse is such a sweetheart to his fans and leaves us to sign the excited Dutch kids scraps of paper and king skins…. The show is good too, last party of the tour and we bid a tearful farewell to Jesse, Davy, Brian, Joey, Troy, Serrina, Norm and of course Eddie (what a guy), thankyou guys so much for having us open for you, it has been one of the best experiences we could have ever asked for. And especially thankyou to the few people every night who drove several hours to pay 30 Euros just to see us and then spend the rest of the night hanging around with us on the merch desk. You are why we do it :)

So anyway, back to England, not as smooth as you might think! The van breaks down (fortunately on the right side of the Channel) and we have to send it off in a tow truck to Brighton with Oli (tour manager, sound, driving) and Dan (merch) while we hire a car (a Vauxhall Corsa for an idea of size) and pack the 5 of us in it with bare minimum and drive to London to make the show with King Blues, Failsafe and previous tour buddies Sharks. We make it with 1/2 an hour to spare and it was totally worth it. So hectic!

Now it’s time for an early bed time as we’ve to be up at half 4 to get a ferry to Amsterdam to play the Vans Festival over there!

Blog on the final part of the Euro Tour coming soon….

L’update

So firstly, sorry for not posting for a few days, we’ve had little connection to the internet, and now the last few days have been a bit of a blur so I’ll do my best!

Out of Germany and into Switzerland! Finally a chance to use our french speaking abilities! not that we haven’t learnt plenty of German, we have the uncanny ability to speak better when we’re drunk, if more crudely..

This show was awesome, paralleled by the awesomeness of the snowy Italian Alps! There’s some photos coming but it’ll be in the next post cos I don’t have the camera with me!

Italy, Milan. Always a pleasure! It’s our 2nd time here and it’s the quietist night of the tour. by the end of the set there’s a lot more people in but there’s people singing along all the words which makes it all the more worth it. Dinner tonight at a proper Italian restaurant and the biggest fucking pizzas you’ve ever seen! fill us up just so there’s barely enough room for us in the van (where we incidentaly have to spend the night. oh the joy!

photos to follow ;)
